Minecraft is a video game about many concepts: exploration, resource management, and much more. But at its core, Minecraft is about creativity; the only real limit is your imagination. If you feel your Minecraft worlds are looking a bit bland, try spicing things up with these interesting build ideas.
If you're looking for that "wow" factor, nothing is a better pick for your world than a castle. You can start with a small foundation, and then keep adding as much as you want from there. Make sure not to use too much of the same block or color, as that can make your castle look dull or bland—and this rule applies to all Minecraft builds!
Roller coasters are great if you want players to tour your world and see the other creations you've made, or as simply a scenic way to quickly travel around. If you're in survival, long tracks will take a lot of iron and patience. It'd be best to plan ahead before starting this one.
Do you consider yourself overly extravagant? If so, a mansion may be for you. Now here's where you can truly get creative. Use whatever blocks you think would look best—it is your house, after all.
My personal favorite: going underground! Underground structures have always had a unique feel to them. They're isolated, and away from all of the noise. If your world is in survival mode, be prepared for a lot of digging; this will take a while.
Beacons are too expensive, and giant dirt towers are tacky. Lighthouses, on the other hand, are the perfect in-between. Not only are they aesthetically pleasing, but they can also help you find your way back home as well. The classic lighthouse is usually white with red stripes, but yours can have whatever you please.
Let your creativity flow. Pixel art is truly limitless with what you can create. If you don't consider yourself the artsy type, there are tons of free templates on the internet that you can follow.
For the PvP players out there, this one is perfect. Domes and circles are the usual shapes for these builds, but of course, you can create yours however you like. If you want to stick with domes and circles, there are wonderful guides elsewhere on the web on how to do so.
This ship won't go anywhere, but it's a great point of interest and conversation starter. Builds of this type will most likely be fairly difficult, especially with all of the interesting curves you'll have to deal with.
Water fountains are the perfect additions to just about anything. You can really get creative with the flow of the water using the design of the fountain itself. You can never have too many water fountains.
For simple contraptions like this, redstone is much easier than you may think. Of course, there's nothing wrong with simply following a video guide. A storage system may seem unnecessary, but the time spent will definitely be worth it.
