My fellow gamers can relate that there is always that one game that created that joy for gaming. PlayStation has created timeless classics that will always be a part of us from sports games to open-world games. Sony has teased us in the past by recreating some titles from older consoles, but nothing gave us that real spark. It's time that we get that nostalgic feel that many of us are looking for. So here are the 15 games we need to be remastered for the PS5.

15. Crash Bandicoot

All of my first PlayStation console owners know about this game very well. Crash Bandicoot was the first of many great games from the development company Naughty Dog. The main character Crash is trying to dodge being captured by his creator Doctor Neo Cortex for being a failed experiment. This is an arcade-style game packed with a lot of fun. Each level is consistent with high energy and a lot of creativity.

Originally a Playstation exclusive, the game was released in September of 1996. The game sold over 6.8 million copies landing it on PlayStation's Greatest Hits category. This game is easy to learn and it's catered to people of all ages. We need to see this game for the PS5 it would have the same success and it did when it was first released.

14. NFL Blitz

NFL Blitz is one of my favorite sports games of all time. NFL Blitz wasn't your average football game. The game took the realistic approach of the sport and threw it out the window. Midway added their own flair to the game with illegal hits, no penalties, and over-the-top animations quickly becoming a fan favorite. Originally being released as an arcade game in 1997. Blitz made its way to consoles in 1998 becoming the PS1's No. 3 ranked new game at its time. Blitz landed itself on Playstation's Greatest Hits and for good reason.

A remastered version of this game would fill a void that we have all been waiting for. The arcade-style sports games are a lost art in today's gaming world. NFL Blitz would be a great way to bring back the genre for the PS5.

13. Need For Speed Midnight Club 3

Need For Speed is an open-world racing series created by Rockstar Games. The game is packed with a wide variety of popular locations, music, and vehicles. All of the top vehicle manufacturers were a part of the game giving it a very authentic feel. The game allows the player to explore their imagination and creativity when building a souped-up ride. The game was released on April 11th, 2005, and had sold over 4.7 million copies in total for the PlayStation 2 and PlayStation Portable.

Need For Speed had some of the best visuals that a game could offer for its time. With these new generation graphics that the PS5 is putting out, a game like this is needed. This game would really stand out from any other racing game with a remastered version.

12. Jak and Daxter

Jak and Daxter is a game with many aspects such as action, racing, and puzzle-solving. The game revolves around a story on a fictional island where the characters Jak and Daxter try to tackle the mysteries and hidden secrets of Misty Island. Naughty Dog created an entertaining storyline and made the characters very likable.

Jak and Daxter were one of the best games created for the PlayStation. The franchise sold over 12 million copies worldwide. The game is definitely a fan favorite and would generate the same type of revenue as it did back in 2001. A game with such memorable characters deserves to be remastered for us original fans for the PS5

11. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Many comic titles have tried to transition into video games, but no title has done it better than the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. TMNT already had a large fanbase so when it made the transition to video games it did well. This beat-em-up action game was released in 2003 by Konami.

The Ninja Turtle game allowed the user to play as any of their favorite turtles. The game creates a fun atmosphere for one or two players. It's easy to pick up and play and would do really well with the younger generation.

10. SOCOM 2 U.S. Navy SEALs

Before there was Call of Duty we had SOCOM. SOCOM is a 3rd person tactical shooter that was exclusively for the PlayStation 2. SOCOM was ahead of its time, making strategy a key element to be successful it change the way shooters are played today. This game was my first introduction to playing against people across the world, and I must say I had a great time.

SOCOM was released on November 4th, 2003, and sold over 2.6 million copies. This game paved the way for multiplayer shooting games. A remastered version with updated graphics and a smooth running playstyle would have gamers running back to the franchise.

9. SSX Tricky

SSX Tricky was one of the biggest games made in the early 2000s. Tricky was a high-flying snowboarding game that would have you stuck to your seat. The game was one of a kind from racing against other players to the death-defying tricks to score big points. The game created a new interest and fanbase to extreme sports and showed it could compete with other sports games.

The last time we received a game from this franchise was 20 years ago back on November 5th. Tricky sold 1.6 million copies when it had transitioned over to the PlayStation 2. Rumor has it is that we could be seeing a remastered version of this SSX soon. The EA developers haven't confirmed anything, but I assure you if they do they'll be making a lot of gamers happy.

8. Resistance Fall of Man

Resistance was easily one of the best titles that were created for the PlayStation 3. This sci-fi first-person shooter was very impressive with their creative storyline to the unlimited arsenal of weapons to destroy aliens. The game checks off everything on the list when it comes to creating an elite shooter game.

The PlayStation exclusive was one of the first titles created for the PlayStation 3 on November 14th, 2006. The title had sold over one million copies creating instant success for the title. With such a great storyline and gameplay a remastered version would look amazing on the PS5

7. Sly Cooper

This game is dedicated to all of the kid gamers out there. Sly Cooper was one of my favorite games to play growing up. This platform stealth game is all about sneaky tactics. The developers created a game that is easy enough to play with a little bit of a challenge. This game is very well-rounded with an entertaining storyline.

Sly Cooper was first released on the PlayStation 2 on September 23rd, 2002, and made its way to the other Sony consoles later on down the line. The ninja raccoon deserves to have a game remastered, it is more than satisfying to play and would have a new generation of kids playing a game that we enjoyed so much.

6. NCAA Football 06

One thing about us is that we love our college sports, especially college football. College video games have been discontinued for some years now, but when they were being released they were some of the best games of those respective years. NCAA 06 was one of the best football video games ever made. From playing with your favorite college to creating your own player and becoming a Heisman candidate, NCAA 06 revolutionized sports games.

NCAA 06 was released on July 11th, 2005, and sold 1.2 million copies earning 56 million dollars in the United States. The return of college video games doesn't seem to be making a comeback anytime soon. A remastered version of this game is more than necessary to fill that void.

5. Def Jam Vendetta

Imagine seeing your favorite hip-hop artist jumping off the top rope. That's what we have with Def Jam Vendetta. This game had put a whole new twist to wresting video games. It was our first time seeing a roster of the most famous hip hop artist at the time in a game. Each artist had their own fighting style making all of the matches unpredictable.

The game was very successful during its run, it sold 750,000 copies earning 30 million dollars in the United States. EA developers should make another one with the artists of this generation, but if not a remastered version of this game for the PS5 would do just as well.

4. NFL Street

From unlimited showboating to the hard-hitting tackles NFL Street added their own flare to football. This 7 on 7 arcade-style game allows users to showcase their skills on offense and defense. The different locations you can play in gives the playground feel. The gameplay has a large focus on being flashy with all types of creativity which adds to the fun.

NFL Street was released on January 13th, 2004, and was very successful. The game had sold 950,000 copies and earned 37 million dollars. NFL Street was a great hit and gave us a new spin on football games. The PS5's realistic graphics would give this remastered game an all-new feel.

3. Kill Zone 2

One of the most anticipated games in 2012, this first-shooter takes the use to fight the new world order. Kill Zone 2 is mainly known for its well-rounded story and AI enemy difficulty. The game has levels that will have a user sitting there for hours at a time, but the challenges of the game are what makes it so great. The game is one of the better shooters that was created for the PlayStation 3.

Kill Zone had sold 323,000 copies in just 48 hours, making it one of the fastest-selling launches. This game for the PS5 would be one of the best games on the system. The Kill Zone developers prided themselves on the graphics and sound effects that created the energy in the game. The high-definition graphics on the  PS5 with this game a remastered version is a must.

2. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas

The success of Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto franchise has been one of the greatest runs ever. The titles always come with a great lengthy storyline that will keep the user coming back for more. This action-adventure game might be the best game out of the franchise. The creativity of GTA has always been one of the best when it came to writing and this game meets that standard and more.

San Andreas was released on October 26th, 2004, and sold 17.33 million copies on the PlayStation 2 alone. The game made the Guinness World Records 2009 Gamer's list as the most successful game for the PlayStation 2. This game is a classic and deserves to be seen on a better running console with next-generation imagery.

1. NBA Street Vol. 2

The best basketball video game ever created. NBA Street is a perfect video game. From the gameplay to the well-rounded music tracklist nothing is missing from this title. This arcade-style 3 on 3 game of basketball is very fluid and fast-paced. The high-flying dunks and the ankle-breaking moves show the work and creativity developed in the game. The game also has a list of monumental locations to play in that basketball fans would be very proud of, all around the game is great.

NBA Street Vol. 2 was released on April 29, 2003. This game belongs on the PS5. EA Sports Big developers did an amazing job and it's only right that the fans of this franchise get to experience and enjoy it one more time.
