While many fans know Black Widow as Natasha Romanoff, in Iron Man 2, she was introduced as Natalie Rushman and worked for Tony Stark as his personal assistant. That was all until she was forced to reveal herself as Black Widow to stop and capture Ivan Vanko who was intent on making suits that were stronger and more destructive than Iron Man's.

Happy Hogan wasn't happy about Natasha taking on the baddies on her own, but she defeated them with ease. While many of her enemies attempted to take her out with guns, she was able to take them out with impeccable fighting skills. Black Widow's debut was nothing short of spectacular, and it is no wonder that this is one of her most memorable moments.

The integration

Black Widow aka Natasha Romanoff returned to our screens in The Avengers (2012) and she did not disappoint. None of us enjoyed seeing Natasha in this way, but we all knew she would come out of it on top, and she did just that.

The scene saw her integrated by members of the Russian Armed Forces whilst tied to a chair, but upon receiving a call from Agent Coulson who informs her that "Agent Barton has been compromised", before she proceeds to say "let me put you on hold", and a fight ensues. Despite being restrained to a chair, taking out the men were yet again light work for Black Widow, and with every kick of her leg and every dodge of their fists, she was able to break free after finally doing a backflip; breaking the chair in the process.

Black Widow appeared in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and yet again fans were treated to a stellar scene that saw a firefight between Black Widow and The Winter Soldier's men.

When The Winter Soldier and his team opened fire on Natasha and Steve, she was quick to dodge every obstacle and bullet in her course before opening fire on the unsuspecting Winter Soldier where a bullet hit his goggles, which angered him in the process. The Winter Soldier hits back as Natasha sprints down the street, jumping for the bridge, he heads in the direction he thinks she is, and believing she is hiding behind a car, he throws a grenade under it, only to find out she wasn't hiding when the car blows up in the flames. Coming out of nowhere as the plumes of smoke and fire take hold, Natasha hits back as a fight breaks out between herself and The Winter Soldier. Yet again, she proves to us just how powerful she is.

Captain America: Civil War saw Black Widow take down even more enemies in the name of saving civilians. Steve Rogers, Natasha Romanoff, Sam Wilson, and Wanda Maximoff all face off against Crossbones, and they do it in style.

Natasha faces off against Crossbones, taking out all of his men at the gate while the rest of the teamwork on the rest of his crew. Though she was unable to capture him, she eventually comes face-to-face with the man who created a biological chemical weapon. After a chase through the marketplace, Natasha eventually apprehends him and saves civilians from being exposed to the chemical weapon. This is just one of the times Black Widow proves that she can work under pressure and save the day all at once.

Girl Power: Black Widow and Okoye save Wanda from Proxima Midnight

"She's not alone," were the words spoke by Black Widow when Proxima Midnight said, "he'll die alone, as will you," to Wanda Maximoff in Avengers: Infinity War.

It was a perfect show of girl power when Black Widow and Okoye fought Proxima Midnight off, unyielding in their defense against Wanda. The two women meant business in making sure Proxima didn't get to Wanda, and they did just that. Even though Black Widow didn't feature as much in Infinity War, this was a perfect scene to show she had the backs of her team, not to mention the girl power shown was also another advantage to the scene

Avengers: Endgame was an emotional rollercoaster for everyone and it is safe to say it broke the hearts of many. Black Widow was a standout in this movie and we were able to see her softer side.

Endgame saw the Avengers hunt for infinity stones when they turned back time to before Thanos even got to the stones, but when Black Widow and Hawkeye were sent on the mission to retrieve the soul stone, it was never going to end well. Fans will remember from Infinity War when Thanos had to sacrifice his own daughter, Gamora, to retrieve the stone. The soul stone was located in Vormir, and the only way for them to take it back to the team to change reality meant one of them had to sacrifice their life. Black Widow and Hawkeye disagreed about who should make the sacrifice before Black Widow sprinted off. Hawkeye stopped her in her tracks, shooting an arrow in her path, causing her to fall to the floor. As she was laid there, Hawkeye sprinted off and threw himself over the edge, only to be caught on the way down by Natasha. Hanging over the edge with nowhere to go, there was only one way to go for Natasha, and it was one fans didn't want. "It's okay," were her final words before she plummeted to the bottom, sacrificing her life to save that of many others in a true show of bravery.
