You've probably seen them grace your feed quite a bit these days and they seem to be the go-to shorts for celebrities alike but biker shorts are here to stay and I have to say, I'm not complaining. While I first avoided the trend, I recently purchased a pair of black ones from Forever 21 for five bucks to try them out. I think I might be sold. They're comfortable and a lot more versatile than I thought. You can keep it casual with an oversized tee shirt and sneakers or dress them up with a blazer and heels. Being that some of us are still working from home, or even if you're not, you can easily throw a pair on with any shirt and feel a little more put together.
My favorite pairing has got to be biker shorts and a blazer. It looks so effortlessly chic, even with sneakers. I'm a sucker for a blazer with any outfit though so I'm a tad bit biased.
I haven't seen many people wear biker shorts with boots, but they do add some chicness to an otherwise casual pair of shorts. In the picture on the left, even tucking in a shirt works. I've always seen the shirts hanging loose when paired with biker shorts, but tucking it in makes this outfit look a little more polished.
Another outfit with the shirt tucked in and paired with a blazer and pointed-toe flats. This outfit consists of a button up which I focus on more later on in this post.
Talk about a polished look! Instantly add some curves to your silhouette by tying a belt around your waist.
You've mostly likely seen everyone pairing their biker shorts with the very trendy sneaker. Even with a blazer, the pairing of sneakers and biker shorts work well together. The blazer just adds a little more chicness to an otherwise casual outfit.
I would've never thought to pair biker shorts with a button down shirt, but the combo works really well and keeps you looking put together and comfortable as well. You can tie the ends in a knot or wear it loose. Wear with sneakers, heels or even boots and you're good to go.
Tucked in or out, you can't seem to go wrong with a button down and biker shorts. Add some thigh high boots like the photo above and you're on your way to looking effortlessly chic.
Biker shorts and tee shirts are all the rage right now. Being that most of us are still home, or maybe finally being able to venture out, we have been incorporating the biker shorts trend with a closet staple: the tee shirt. You've probably seen a lot of people pairing their shorts with oversized tee's but you can easily switch it up and knot your shirt at the bottom, wear a crop top or wear a shirt that's a bit more form-fitting. With this pairing, sneakers, combat boots, flats and even Birkenstocks are great!
I personally love the combination of biker shorts and combat boots. Tough and girly is a great combination.
You can't go wrong with flats either. Vans are no exception. They're casual but keep your outfit looking cute. Don't forget the strappy handbag.
I love me some Birkenstocks and love the copper and white color combination of this outfit.
Don't like your basic black biker shorts? They come in many colors that are bound to suit your fashion needs. Being a minimalist myself, I usually reach for neutral colors and black anything. This is definitely a trend you can have fun with. Dressed up or down, biker shorts have proven to be quite versatile and are definitely here to stay for the foreseeable future.
