5 Billionaire Habits For Daily Success

These 5 habits are a common trend among the world's top 1%
Habits of the top 1%

Would you like to learn 5 billionaire habits that will help you achieve daily success? According to Wealth-X, as of 2019, there are an estimated 2,825 billionaires worldwide. Further down the ladder of financially free people are the 46.8 million millionaires. What are these people doing that the rest of us are not? We are all given the same 24-hours per day, is it safe to say that our approach to life could use another look?

In Tim Ferriss's 2016 New York Times best-seller Tools of Titans, Tim interviews 108 individuals that have achieved remarkable success in their prospective fields. He categorizes their habits, routines, and rituals into three parts; the wealthy, the healthy, the wise. I have taken the liberty of pulling out the 5 core habits that helped me climb from a homeless, former drug addict to a published author, speaker, and entrepreneur.

Master Your Morning

The first billionaire habit I want to talk about is morning mastery. The most common trend among every individual in Ferriss's book is that they all wake up hours before the sun rises. Furthermore, they all have a specific success routine that they practice with extreme discipline. From Jocko Willink to Arnold Schwarzenneger to Ray Dalio the advice is mutual. Mastering your morning is a key element to mastering your life.

Studies have shown that 90% of billionaires wake up early to practice a strict morning routine. Why is this so important? Well, it gives you the time to focus on yourself before going off to work where you are on company time. Les Brown's advice helped propel my life in the right direction when I heard him say, "spend more time on yourself than you do on your job." If you are a working-class citizen, when you get to work you are now on company time.

Moving forward, you can't just wake up early and do anything to achieve success. You have to practice the right habits. The most common trend among the habits of the successful is what I call the Triad of Morning Mastery. I derived this specific routine from what most know as the morning "power hour."

The purpose of this routine is to train yourself mentally, physically, and spiritually. You can easily customize a similar routine centered around reading, meditating, and physical exercise.

Write Down Your Goals

A research study I read a few years ago shows that people that write their goals down are 10 times more successful 30 years down the road. Tim also mentions this in his book. How often do we set a New Year's resolution only to forget completely about it by the time February rolls around?

The most successful people in the world have a habit of not only writing down their goals but also keeping track of them in spreads. For instance, 10-year goals are devised and followed by 5-year, 3-year, 1-year, monthly, weekly, and daily goals. Writing down your goals in this manner helps you to organize an efficacious plan.

Another helpful trick is to write these goals on a 3x5 index card, laminate it, and carry this card with you everywhere you go. The more your goals stay at the forefront of your consciousness, the easier it will be for your subconscious mind to record your intentions.

Creating Mentors and Finding Coaches

"In a world full of information, ignorance is a choice." - Dr. Joe Dispenza

The quote above really helped me get rid of all my excuses. Odds are there is someone successful at doing what you dream of doing. Not only that, but they probably have a YouTube channel dedicated to helping people just like you learn what they know. There is no excuse for not learning how to monetize your passions. In the words of Anthony Robbins, "Success leaves footprints."

If you cannot find the right mentors locally, you can always create them using the internet. The world we live in is interconnected. You can send and receive a voice or video call in a matter of seconds. If you are having a hard time finding someone to teach you one-on-one, make the effort yourself by going to conferences, seminars, workshops, and networking events.

You can also create coaches by offering your work for free. Say you want to learn preaching or public speaking. Would it not be an amazing idea to go and offer 10-15 hours of your time every week to volunteer work for your local church? You can do this with any prospective career field. Find someone that is successful doing what you dream of doing and formulate a similar strategy for success.

Meditation, Visualization, and Gratitude

These three things are actually accomplishable in one 10-15 minute sitting. Tony Robbins recommends doing this as soon as you wake up. Think about it. Your thoughts generate an electrical impulse that produces a feeling. That feeling produces a chemical in your body and the result is an emotion, or "energy in motion."

So what if you wake up on the wrong side of the bed? What if you don't feel like being your best today? This is where the power of meditation, visualization, and gratitude comes into play. Every morning Robbins starts his day with a 10-minute meditation. This meditation is for the purpose of cueing and priming empowering emotions.

The first three minutes are centered around gratitude. After all, you cannot be angry or fearful at the same time you are grateful and happy. Tony finds 3 unique things to be grateful for and focuses his intention and attention on the feelings produce by this gratitude.

During the second three minutes, Robbins focuses on the presence of God. You can do this by tuning into the beat of your heart. After all, the same energy keeps each individual human heart pumping without the necessity of thought. You don't have to tell your heart to beat. It just beats. In essence, this is God.

"You can't get wet by the word water." - Alan Watts

The last 3 minutes are spent on what Robbins calls his "three to thrive." These are the three most important goals to be accomplished today. However, Tony doesn't just focus on the goals, he visualizes the tasks having already been completed, and feels the emotion that will come from accomplishing these tasks.

READ MORE BOOKS

Statistics show that the average billionaire reads one book per week. This is challenging for most, however, you can start by reading 30-40 pages of something positive to start your day. Can you imagine if you studied a curriculum pertaining to your specific interests every single morning? Imagine how far you could advance your knowledge and skills.

There are books on how to accomplish, literally, anything you can dream of. However, information without application is like knowledge without power. You see, knowledge is not power, knowledge is only potential power. Smart doesn't evolve into wise until you apply the knowledge you obtain to your daily life.

Conclusion

The success habits you have just learned about are guaranteed to propel you into a better life. Besides practicing these simple habits, there are also things you can stop doing to help you climb your mountain of adversity.

For instance, your unconscious mind, also called your habit mind, runs 95% of your life. 95% of what you think, say, and do is derived from your previous habits and experience. If you have gotten into the habit of hitting the snooze button, you are teaching your unconscious mind how little you care. By simply forcing yourself out of bed in the morning, instead of hitting the snooze button, your unconscious mind will soon learn that you mean business.

Practice cleanliness, such as making your bed as soon as you get up. Why is this so important? Elementary, my dear Watson. This is your first win of the day. By getting up at a time you commit to and making your bed, you are officially starting your day with two points on the scoreboard.

The truth is, you are full of amazing unlimited potential, and only you can provide your gifts to the world. Try waking up a few hours before the sun and preparing yourself mentally, physically, and spiritually for what the day holds for you.
