Olga Ozerskaya is an Israeli Russian artist whose work spans painting, collage, design, and digital media. Known for her emotionally charged blue-toned paintings and intricate analog digital collages, she has developed a visual language that speaks to themes of memory, nature, psychology, and transformation. Her career began in the world of high-end interior design and gradually evolved into a fully committed fine art practice that now reaches audiences across the globe. Born on January 9, 1984, in Moscow, she has built a reputation not just for her unique aesthetic but for the depth and thought behind each piece of art. Her journey reflects a blend of rigorous classical training, international education, and a personal philosophy that centers on ecology and introspection.
Ozerskaya’s connection to the visual arts started early. In 1990 she began her formal art education at the Tretyakov Gallery Art School in Moscow, where she studied classical fine arts until 1998. These formative years provided her with a deep understanding of composition, drawing, and technique. As a young student she participated in local art contests and exhibitions and began shaping her personal artistic voice. Her early works were grounded in realism and discipline but already hinted at a desire to move toward more abstract and conceptual forms.
In 1998 she moved to the United Kingdom and continued her art studies at King William’s College. During her time there she was introduced to European contemporary art, which expanded her understanding of style and interpretation. The experience influenced her transition from traditional techniques to more experimental forms. Although she later pursued a different academic direction, the influence of these early years in art education remained central to her identity.
Between 2001 and 2006 she attended Plekhanov Russian University of Economics where she earned a degree in Economics with a specialization in marketing. Her studies helped her understand the business side of the creative world and equipped her with practical skills that would later support both her design studio and art career. From 2006 to 2009 she studied at Moscow State University, completing a dual degree in Art Business and Aesthetics. During this time she worked as a studio assistant to the Russian abstractionist Sergey Bruhanov and began to exhibit her work in student group shows. One notable appearance was at the Mars Gallery in 2009, where her pieces were presented alongside those of other emerging artists.
In 2008 she founded Omdesign, a luxury interior design studio focused on integrating fine art into high end spaces. Over the next twelve years she led more than twenty projects across international cities such as New York, Miami, London, Munich, and Moscow. Her work in interior design was marked by a clear artistic sensibility and a focus on harmony between form and function. She often approached interior spaces as if they were large canvases, layering textures, colors, and objects with an artist’s eye. Omdesign allowed her to explore the relationship between physical space and emotional experience, an idea that would carry over into her later visual art.
While running the studio, Ozerskaya never left behind her personal artistic practice. In 2015 she enrolled in a mixed media collage course at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London. There she refined her approach to combining analog and digital materials. Her final 3D collage collection received first place at the course’s final exhibition, a moment that marked her renewed commitment to fine art. By 2018 she had transitioned fully from interior design to the art world. Her work evolved into a distinctive mix of hand-cut collage, digital manipulation, and symbolic visual storytelling. One of her most recognized bodies of work is the Blood Moon series, which interprets lunar eclipses as metaphors for psychological transformation. Each collage in the series uses layered imagery and symbolic forms to evoke deep introspection and emotional discovery. In 2020 she published an art book based on this series, including nineteen works that explore the idea of awakening through celestial symbolism. According to Ozerskaya, only by looking deep into your own subconscious will you be able to unlock the secret hidden in each collage. This statement reflects the core of her artistic philosophy and the kind of experience she seeks to create for the viewer.
Her exhibitions have reached audiences in New York, Miami, Los Angeles, Amsterdam, and Moscow. She has been featured in major art fairs such as Palm Beach Modern and Contemporary in 2019, 2023, and 2025, Context Art Miami in 2019, 2021, and 2022, Volta Art Fair in New York in 2022, and the Olympia Art and Antiques Fair in London in 2019. Her work has also been shown at the Guild Hall Museum in East Hampton and in curated group shows including The 10th Muse at Case Gallery in Los Angeles, Integral at Lichtundfire Gallery in New York, and Please Remove Your Ego in Miami. She has held solo shows such as Rebirth in Miami and has taken part in thematic exhibitions including Women and Manhattan in Black and White at Visioner Gallery. In addition to physical exhibitions, Ozerskaya has participated in several digital and NFT based shows such as CADAF Crypto and Digital Art Fair in Paris, Re Merge curated by HLK Art Group in New York, and Cosmoscow Art Fair in Moscow. These appearances show her ability to adapt her vision to both traditional and emerging platforms while maintaining a consistent artistic voice.
She is currently represented by Visioner.art Gallery in New York, Elga Wimmer Gallery in New York, Denis Leon Gallery in Boca Raton, and VK Gallery in Amsterdam. Her work continues to receive recognition for its emotional power, technical innovation, and visual complexity. Critics and collectors alike have praised her 3D collage works for their richness and symbolism.
Beyond aesthetics, her art is deeply influenced by her philosophical background and her personal commitment to ecological awareness. She describes art as a ritual and a quiet revolution of form and meaning. Her works often function as spatial and psychological maps that guide the viewer into deeper reflection. Themes of nature, memory, and myth appear repeatedly in her compositions. Her personal statement ecology is my religion reflects both the content of her work and her ethical approach to materials and process. She often uses sustainable techniques and incorporates natural elements into her collages, making her work not only visually compelling but also environmentally conscious.
Olga Ozerskaya’s journey from the structured world of interior design to the expressive terrain of fine art is a story of creative evolution. Her ability to move between physical space and inner experience allows her to create works that are at once grounded and ethereal. Whether building a luxurious interior or crafting a layered collage, she brings the same care, vision, and depth to everything she creates. Her art continues to offer viewers a chance to pause, reflect, and enter into a dialogue with their own inner world. Through color, texture, and symbolism, she invites us to see beyond the surface and connect with something more profound. Her work stands as a testament to the power of art to transform both space and soul.
