What condition should the item be in?
The product must be in like-new condition with all original packaging, accessories, manuals, etc. Damaged, dirty, or incomplete returns may be denied or incur fees.
Do I need the receipt?
It's best to have your receipt or packing slip. Using the same credit card/payment method helps. (Super Money)
If you don’t have a receipt, Best Buy may still accept a return if they can verify purchase (via account, credit card, etc.), but this may limit or reduce the refund and can be subject to an ID check. (Super Money)
Are there restocking fees?
Yes, for certain product types: activatable devices (unless prepaid phones), high-end electronics (like drones, digital cameras, projectors) may incur 15% restocking fees. (beta.dealnews.com)

Can I return a gift?
In-store: yes, usually for store credit.
By mail: Gifts returned by mail may result in a credit to the gift purchaser, and they’ll be notified via email.
What about large items or appliances?
For major appliances, Best Buy has special procedures: sometimes you need to call Best Buy to arrange return/pick-up.
Return windows and conditions still apply; packaging and proof of purchase are required.
What items can’t be returned?
Some items are non-returnable or final sale. These may include:
Custom or personalized orders
Non-subscription digital content, prepaid cards, gift cards
Consumables, opened SIM kits, and certain health/hygiene products once unsealed
How is the refund issued?
Usually refunded to the original payment method.
If that’s not possible (e.g., gift purchase), store credit might be given.
Mail returns may take several business days to process once Best Buy receives.
