Born in Kyiv in 1985, Veronika moved to Israel as a child and grew up in an environment centered on discipline and service. At seventeen, she immigrated to the United States with her mother and brother. Her early paramedic training in Israel shaped her calm and focused approach to care. The experience taught her how bodies respond to stress, fatigue, and recovery, lessons that later became central to her understanding of functional aging.

Clinical Training and the Roots of Adaptability

After settling in the United States, Veronika studied nursing and psychology at Harper College while working in hospitals and private medical offices. Between 2003 and 2017, she supported patients recovering from illness, injury, and surgical procedures. These years gave her firsthand insight into how aging affects mobility, balance, and cognitive functioning. She learned that two people of the same age can have entirely different needs, a principle that shaped her belief that “every body ages differently, so every body needs a different plan.”

The Shift Toward Yoga, Movement Therapy, and Functional Aging

Veronika’s path into yoga began in 2014, and her training expanded steadily from there. She completed both RYT 200 and RYT 500 certifications, studied adaptive fitness, and gained experience in restorative, yin, aerial, pediatric, and cancer recovery yoga. Each discipline offered tools she would weave into her functional aging approach, emphasizing stability, gentle strength-building, and movement patterns that support everyday tasks.

Her continued studies in nutrition, therapeutic movement, and cognitive fitness helped her design programs that address more than physical wellness. She began viewing aging as an intertwined physical and cognitive process, where mobility supports mental clarity and breath regulates emotional resilience.

Teaching That Prioritizes Safety, Progression, and Confidence

Throughout Northern Illinois, Veronika taught in several wellness centers, focusing on precise observation and individualized instruction. In 2019, she moved fully into independent teaching, creating programs for people facing age-related changes, chronic conditions, or trauma.

Founded in 2016, V Yoga Health LLC expanded Veronika’s ability to offer private and group sessions shaped specifically for older adults. The programs include yoga therapy, rehabilitative exercises, and breath-based techniques that support joint health, flexibility, and functional strength.

Her work is strongly informed by her own breast cancer experience, which taught her how aging and recovery feel from the inside. She understands fatigue, pain, and emotional uncertainty, and she designs programs that balance realism with hope, structure with compassion.

Since 2020, Veronika has served as Early Childhood Program Director at Yachad Kids Academy in Buffalo Grove. Though her audiences differ greatly, her philosophy remains consistent: movement is a lifelong language. Whether she designs activities for young children or older adults, she centers safety, curiosity, and adaptability.

Her multicultural background in Ukraine, Israel, and the United States also shapes her approach. She understands that movement, like wellness, must be flexible enough to support people from many walks of life.

Writing That Extends Her Mission

Veronika’s book, V Yoga Health Teacher Training RYT200 Enhance Your Knowledge of Yoga (2024), offers guidance to new instructors seeking to develop thoughtful and mindful teaching practices. The book reflects her emphasis on functional movement, individualized care, and safe modifications for all bodies.
