Custom content is in-game content that has been created within the sims community for players to download and use. Customised content can range from build and buy to create sim content such as hair, clothes, skin, decor.

how do I get custom content?

You can download custom content from sites or links provided by content creators(usually on Tumblr or Patreon). However, it is easier to browse for all of them on Pinterest.

It is safe to download from simfileshare, Patreon and dropboxes. Beware of dodgy links.

how do I get custom content to show up in my game?

After downloading the cc file, you must place them in your mods folder, located in documents>electronic arts>the sims 4. If you have downloaded it as a zip file, it must be extracted into your mods folder.

Then when you open the game, make sure that you enable custom content and mods. Restart the game. Then the content should be in your game

how does genetics in the sims four work?

The sims four genetics has become watered down as of late. In sims 2, features such as eye colour had complex DNA terminology. Blue eyes being recessive and brown eyes being dominant. The sims four doesn't have that. Also, skin details in the base game cannot be inherited. For example, even if both parents have freckles, the offspring will not inherit details.

The slice of life mods includes appearance changes such as acne and face masks. Additionally, sims can randomly have phone calls and texts that affect relationship meters(children and teenagers too)

mc command centre is a cheating mod. You can increase funds instantly, change details such as sims age, relationships, clothes, and populate clubs and world as you see fit. Mc command centre is an excellent mod for quick fixes. Indeed, more of you can expect god-like gameplay when this mod is installed.

life decider

Another one of Kawaiistacie's mods, the life decider, adds more spontaneity to your townies. This simplifies backgrounds for townies, giving them more depth. The rest is up to your imagination! Click on an NPC(nonplayable character ), and you can randomise skills, career and personality, with bonus traits exclusive to the mod.

The sim dating app makes it easier for your sim townies to find love. Of course, the sim dating app doesn't always have to lead to nuptials. Mess around and engage with other sims, with harmless flirtations, dates(including blind ones), hookups and breakups.

wicked whims

This one is for the adults, and it is NSFW. Spice up your game with natural menstrual cycles that affect fertility (ability to buy pads and feel menstrual symptoms). Sims are given personality archetypes, of which 15 to 20% of sims are compatible.

The wicked whims mod also includes sex animations (option to download more), add more realism to the game with contraceptives such as condoms and birth control. On the other hand, you can own a strip club and work as a madam or pimp.

The wicked whims mod goes hand in hand with Nisa's wicked perversions.

A clean version without nudity and sex is the wonderful whims mod.

Basemental

Get wild and devious with sins and enjoyment. Drugs and alcohol are possible in this mod, alongside consequences such as getting drunk, hangovers, parents reactions to teenagers and possible substance addiction. Go on a trippy adventure with your shaman and unlock psychedelic drugs. Create your own dispensary(only available with get to work), grow your own cannabis with discretion, of course; otherwise, a swat raid and possible arrest may ensued.
