Hulu Vs Netflix

To get started on what streaming service will be better for you Hulu or Netflix, we will be taking a deeper look into both of the streaming services.  In this article we will also be looking at how both Hulu and Netflix got started, and who created them.  At the end we will summarize the comparison of both services.  We will also take a look at a few things like, the difference between the movies / tv shows that are available on each service, price difference and what features, exclusives and extras they both have available. So while we go throughout the article please note that this is based on my opinion and my opinion my differ from yours, so lets get started!

     I would like to start with my personal favorite Hulu, Hulu was created on October 29,2007 about 14 years ago. Hulu is based in U.S only, the streaming service is ran by The president Kelly Campbell, Walt Disney and NBC universal also known as Comcast, in a 67% , 33% split of company.  Hulu service started at first as a joint venture between NBC news station and Walt Disney, the main objective was to bring recent television shows to you at a way cheaper price than the television networks or Netflix could do.  Around 2010 hulu became the first streaming service to add the plus to it which created Hulu plus and we will give you readers details about that later.  It also added Hulu live streaming in 2017 witch added live tv for people so they can watch Hulu like classic traditional tv networks . 

Now lets take a look at the content that hulu provides, Hulu has in my opinion the best  tv show content.  The services tv show content consists of shows for Adults, kids and family - friendly shows . A few Catagorie's are Action, Adventure,Anime,Nature,Comedy, Documentary and Drama. The service has lots of popular shows like Dragon Ball Z Super, Rick and morty , Futurama and many more.  The basic hulu subscription movies section may not be a diverse as Netflix but they have many great movies available including but not limited too, Sonic the Hedgehog, The United States VS Billy Holiday, Trolls world tour, Shrek and many more. Like i said earlier the basic plan may be limited but you can upgrade for a better experience. 

     In this section we will be focusing on Hulu's Price's, features and extras that can be added to your subscription if you choose to do so.  So lets start with Hulu's basic price, the basic price for streaming on Hulu is $5.99 a month. For only $5.99 hulu basic provides on demand access to full seasons of Tv shows, Movies, hit movies, Hulu exclusives and FX on hulu keeps shows airing on Hulu the very next day after live TV. Hulu's next plan is $11.99 a month no ads which includes everything that the basic plan covers except their are no ads, which is great for people who dislike ads. The final plan is the hulu live tv which is $64.99 a month which includes everything Hulu offers plus live - tv. The live Tv option is for customers that like hulu but still what live tv like the traditional tv networks have with a full guide and upcoming shows for users to enjoy. Hulu also has a variety of add-ons that you can add on your bill for a monthly price, these include espn+ ($5.99), showtime($10.99) Hbo Max($14.99) Cinemax($9.99) and more. 

   Now lets move on to Netflix, Netflix was created in August 29th, 1997 23 years ago by Reed Hastings and Marc Randolph in Scotts Valley, California. One uncommon thing Netflix can do is stream in other countries other than the United States, like Mexico, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, cuba, Ireland and many other countries besides the U.S. Netflix originally started with D.V.D sales and rentals something like blockbuster, (which they later aquired) but you select what you want online, Hastings abandoned the idea about a year after Netflix came out with  the introduction to streaming media and services in 2007. Netflix started to enter the content production industry in 2013, which was great because they expanded the company vastly after that. Now fast forward to 2021 Netflix is the largest  entertainment or streaming service out right now.

     The content of Netflix is one of the largest when it comes to streaming / media , Netflix in my opinion has the one of the best movies selection but not when it come to tv shows. The categories that are available in Netflix genre options are, 2021 Netflix Oscars,  Action,  Anime, Black stories, Children and family, Classics, Comedy, Crime, Documentary, Romance, Stand-up comedy, Thriller and many more. Netflix movies are some of the best out their consisting of movies like, Django, Batman the dark knight, Superbad, The Lorax  and many other popular movies including Netflix original movies like Farmageddon.  Netflix tv shows are a little on the limited side in my opinion but they still are very good shows like, N.C.I.S, Garfield,The Magic School bus , The green arrow, Flash , Gotham and lots of other popular tv shows that also including Netflix tv specials like Cobra Kai.

Now lets move on to the next section, in this section of the article I will explain the Prices, Features and Extras you can add to your subscription if you wish to do so.  Netflix's basic subscription is $8.99 a month which includes 1 screen that can be watched at a time, 1 phone or tablet to get download at a time, unlimited movies and tv shows to watch on laptop, Tv or mobile devices and no HD or Ultra HD.  Netflix next plan is the standard plan which is $13.99, which includes 2 scenes at a time, 2 downloads and a time, Unlimited movies and tv shows, watch on any device, HD available, Ultra HD not included. The Final plan is the premium subscription for $17.99 which includes, 4 screens at a time, 4 downloads at a time, Unlimited movies and tv shows, watch on any device, HD and Ultra HD are available then is for customers that want everything Netflix has to offer.

Now to summarize this article up, so which streaming service is better to use Hulu or Netflix. Well lets recap Hulu has a cheaper basic plan going for only $5.99 and Netflix basic plan is $8.99 so if your talking about cheapest Hulu wins in that argument. Now when it comes to content it really depends on your preference they both have great movies and tv shows but Neflix seems to rely more on newer movies and Hulu on newer tv shows. So in terms of reliability they are both reliable but Hulu is United States based only besides Puerto Rico and Netflix is available almost every other country, so Netflix is more reliable in that aspect.

So in conclusion I still say that Hulu is the better option especially for people on a budget. That being said since Hulu is not available everywhere so, Netflix may be a better choice for customers if you live outside U.S in another country.
