What Are Fat Dissolving Injections? Are They Really Helpful?

Fate Dissolving Injections

The launch of fat dissolving injections has many excited. Now we can finally get rid of stubborn fat that just won’t budge, no matter how hard we exercise, or how healthy we eat.

Fat dissolving injections can help you to achieve a slimmer, more contoured body shape, with long-lasting results of between two and four years. The results are even longer if you maintain a healthy diet and regularly exercise.

Fat Dissolving Injections are a safe, effective treatment that reduces fat cells in the treated area. It produces long lasting results, which means you can banish those annoyingly wobbly bits.

These injections can be used to treat small, exercise resistant, pockets of fat around the chin, chest, abdomen, thighs, knees and ankles. It is very effective for body contouring, but is not a treatment for weight loss.

What is Aqualyx?

Aqualyx is an injectable compound made from the deoxycholate family of acids. The product may also be called Motolese’s Solution, named for the professor that introduced the drug.

The acids present in Aqualyx cause fat destruction in the body. Plastic surgeons use Aqualyx for body contouring. They may inject it into different areas of the body, such as the:

back
chin
hips
knees
stomach
thighs
Doctors may also use the substance to treat a condition called pseudo-gynecomastia in men. This causes extra fat tissue to grow in the chest area, giving the appearance of breasts.

When injected into the body, Aqualyx can reduce the appearance of fat to give a smoother, more contoured appearance. While a person will see changes after one treatment, they’ll usually require more than one treatment session to see maximum results.

How does it work?

We start by numbing the skin to make the procedure as pain-free as possible and then inject at various points across your problem area. The fat-dissolving product works to break down the membranes of the fat cells beneath the skin, causing them to become unstable and eventually flush out via the lymphatic system. This ‘flushing’ process may take around 6-8 weeks.
