Indoor Photoshoot Ideas To Spice Up Your Instagram And Other Social Media Profiles

Is your Instagram lacking its normal interesting content? There's plenty of fun pictures you can take in your own home that's awesome and original.

Between being stuck inside for so long and having no reason to dress up, Instagram is just dying for some unique content. There’s actually plenty of fun ways to do fun little photoshoots inside. The best part is they require things you probably already have in your own house.

Here's a list of fun photo ideas you can do to spice up your social media feed:

1. Mirror

Have a couple of mirrors lying around? Maybe a full-length mirror or a pretty handheld one? Lay it on the floor on top of a solid color blanket or even the carpet and pose yourself around it. It may take more than one person to pose the camera to not have it show in the mirror. These can get super pretty and even sexy when you really let yourself get into it.

2. Bathtub

There’s some cool stuff you can do with a bathtub. You can get your favorite dress on and lay in the tub with all the layers floating around you. You can also add milk and flowers and other pretty things to the water and lay in a pretty milk bath for some gorgeous images. Another option that requires less work is just laughing and laying in an empty tub with your best friends. Don't' have a bathtub? Use a kiddie pool!

3. Euphoria

After a successful first season, the HBO original Euphoria inspired a makeup look that's covered in rhinestones. The trend was very popular over the summer and makes for a great trend. Posing in front of LED lights or in front of a computer screen to mimic the colored lighting is a fun way to recreate the trend.

4. Color Themed

Monochromatic is very in right now. Have a blue wall in your house? Dress all blue and pose in front of it. Have yellow curtains? Dress in all yellow and strike a pose. This is probably the easiest fun photo shoots you can do.

5. Decades

Vintage TikTok is an awesome place for inspiration. Go through your closet and find something that reminds you of the 80’s and poses. Have a flapper costume from a few years ago? Pull it out and take some Roaring 20’s inspired pictures. If you are proficient in Photoshop or other editing programs you can work on editing the pictures to look how they might have when taken in that decade.

6. Newspaper

This is almost like an arts and craft experience. You can tape newspapers on the floor and walls and pose in front of it. If you have a stool or chair, place it in front of it and point a light at you. It makes a cute little shoot and also recycles some of the newspapers that you might have lying around.

If you’re looking for something quick and easy, just put on your favorite outfit and lay on the couch.  Maybe strut your stuff in front of your garage. Just set a timer and take your own pictures. There’s a lot of creative ideas you can find on Pinterest or inspiration from Instagram you can use. Just have fun with it!
