5 Wholesome Pranks Quarantine Gave Us

Humans still produced some heartwarming moments in 2020

The year 2020 undoubtedly gave everyone a wide range of problems, but humans never fail to create smiles and laughter, even in the face of great adversity. Pranks can be a fantastic way to relieve tension, create laughter and keep the magic alive within relationships.

Quarantine brought us a whole lot of creativity, including tons of wholesome pranks that you can comfortably try out on your loved ones. These trendy tricks have made their impact on the internet, so you can make an impact on your friends and family.

Here are a few of the most wholesome pranks from quarantine.

1. Hand In The Glass Prank

We all have experienced moments of quarantine brain; where we seem to lose touch with reality for a bit and it takes us a moment to realize what exactly is going on. This prank is a great one to try on your roommate, mom, dad, or sibling.

Simply pretend your hand has been trapped in a glass, ask for help, and give them a helping hand with your “stuck” appendage. You don’t need to speak French to understand the prank here. The moment of realization is absolutely priceless.

2. Disappearing Coin Prank

The next prank is another great example of one to do with your loved ones. This prank has made the rounds online, so it may be best to try it out on one of the less internet-savvy people you know. Pretend you are going to show them a magic trick - a disappearing coin.

Take a plastic water bottle and remove the lid, and place the bottle on top of a coin of your choice. Tell the person you are pranking that you will now make the coin disappear while covering it with a towel or blanket.

Say some magic words, and remove the towel. Have them take a look down through the bottle to see if the coin has indeed moved. When their face is over top of the bottle, give it a squeeze and give them a splash!

This cute couple gives us a heartwarming look at how they keep their relationship interesting by having some fun with one another.

3. Smoking Toilet Prank

TikTok has given us countless trends this year, including some very wholesome prank trends. This one should work especially well on dads, moms, husbands, and wives, concerning and confusing them all together.

Take the inner cardboard from a used toilet paper roll and smash it between the toilet seat, so it looks a bit like a cigar. Use some additional toilet paper rolls as eyeballs and any other creative ideas you may have for dressing it up. The delivery you use to tell your ‘prankee’ that “The toilet is smoking” will make all the difference in their reaction.

If you are concerned and confused, they will be too. Here are a handful of the most creative executions.

4. Giant Leak Under the Sink Prank

In a very similar fashion, you can go buy a leek and hide it under the kitchen sink. Let your loved one know that there is a big “leak” under the sink and watch as their eyes roll through the back of their head.

5. Car Window Prank

A truly harmless and wholesome prank that plays on the great unknown. Especially this year when we have seen tensions run high, not knowing what anyone might say or do at any given moment.

Pretty straight forward, roll your window down like you want to talk to someone when you pull up next to someone in your car. When they roll their windows, just roll yours back up. It sounds silly, for sure, but check out the smiles on these people's faces when they realize.

Try these wholesome and harmless pranks out for yourself next time you feel like your week has been just a little too....2020.
