5 Of The Best Cartoon Network Shows For All Cartoon Lovers

If you love cartoons, then consider watching (or rewatching) these fantastic series!

I've watched cartoons from when I was born and still to this day. They offer a new perspective to tv shows. Cartoon Network was a tv station I watched every single day as a child. There are so many amazing cartoons playing on this channel all the time.

A few shows, in particular, amazed me so much that they are some of my favorite shows of all time. I wanted to share the cartoons on Cartoon Network I love the most and encourage anyone looking for a new show to watch these.

5 Old Cartoon Network Shows

These are some of my favorite old shows that I encourage you to watch:

1. Adventure Time

This animated series first premiered on Cartoon Network in 2010 and continued for 10 seasons until it ended in 2018.

The story mainly follows the adventures of Finn the Human and his best friend Jake the Dog. This dynamic duo travels around the Land of Ooo fighting monsters, being silly with friends, and unlocking the secrets of Finn's unknown past. Adventure Time has the perfect combination of fun, deep, dark, and humor throughout its series.

What first attracted me to Adventure Time was the art style. It's full of vibrant colors, each character has unique qualities and all very quirky personalities. I feel like I can relate to their silliness.

2. Regular Show

Regular Show is an animated sitcom series that ran from 2009 to 2017. The show lasted for eight crazy seasons.

Mordecai, a blue jay, and Rigby, a raccoon, are best buds that work together as groundskeepers at a local park. They despise work, so they usually goof around on the job and wreak havoc for the park.

Mordecai and Rigby accidentally cause troubles in all kinds of unusual ways. Their boss Benson, a walking gumball machine, always threatens to fire these goofballs but tends to rehire them a bit too often.

I enjoy Regular Show mostly for the humor in it as opposed to the storyline. The show has a bunch of hilarious and clever jokes. I appreciate the relatability I have with Mordecai and Rigby. There was finally a show about a couple of slackers on the job that are having fun.

3. Steven Universe

This Cartoon Network show was first introduced to the world in 2013 and ran for five seasons before its finale in 2019.

Steven Universe is a young boy with a gem for a belly button. This gem contains powerful magic that gives Steven awesome abilities. Steven is the son of Rose Quartz, the leader of the Crystal Gem rebellion against the Diamonds. Rose Quartz, unfortunately, died shortly after having Steven.

So, Steven was left with other Crystal Gems, Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl to continue the rebellion. The show follows Steven as he understands his magnificent powers and his identity as he and the Crystal Gems fight the Diamonds.

Steven Universe is one of my favorites because of all the positive messages it has throughout the show. I learned so much about the beautiful force of love and friendship. Characters are always demonstrating how much they care by risking their lives to save others. The finale made me cry, which means it's an incredible series.

4. Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends

Debuting in 2004, Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends opened its doors for kids to enjoy until its sixth and final season in 2009.

Mac is a highly imaginative boy, so much so that he created an imaginary friend named Bloo. Although Mac couldn't keep Bloo, Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends welcomed Bloo to live there with many other imaginary friends. Every day after school, Mac visits Bloo and their other imaginary friends at Foster's. This crazy gang finds all kinds of entertaining activities to do around the Home (and get into a little trouble while they do).

Foster's Home is like no other cartoon that I've seen before. I love that this show focuses on the endless creativity of a child's mind and the types of imaginary friends they make up. This show also is filled with a lot of colors, which makes the cartoon look even more fun.

5. Total Drama Island

In 2007, the first episode of Total Drama Island played on Cartoon Network. It ran for 26 episodes and eventually branched off and created Spin-off Total Drama series.

Total Drama Island is a competition reality show hosted by Chris McLean. 22 teenagers live at Camp Wawanaka and complete insane challenges as to not get voted off the island. Naturally, a group of teens is bound to conjure up drama. So, there's a lot of drama on each episode of Total Drama Island.

I recommend anyone who's a teenager to watch because Total Drama Island is for a bit older audience. It has some mature humor at times, but it has an awesome story. This show is insane and such an original idea for a cartoon.

The Beauty of Cartoons

Cartoons help me unleash my internalized childish and creative side. These shows are a nice distraction from real-world adult responsibilities. I can relax by watching cartoons and having a nice laugh. Cartoons are a silly and usually laid-back genre of television entertainment that I prefer over any other type of show.
