Does anyone else find it interesting that all the AI safety-focused messaging from Anthropic coexists with these massive infrastructure plays? Building your own chips is about competitive dominance, not safety. These are two very different instincts.

To be fair, Instagram did add editable DMs back in 2024 so this is at least consistent. They are slowly working through the backlog of features other apps had ages ago.

The attackers broke down the attack into small seemingly innocent tasks so Claude would execute them without full context. That technique is going to be the template for AI-enabled intrusions for years. The jailbreak vector is the underrated threat.
