Is your lack of confidence taking over your life? If so, it's time to boost your self-confidence and experience joy in your life! Life is too short to be unhappy because of your lack of confidence. When you have high confidence, you can tackle any obstacle! You'll feel confident about your imperfections, talents, and you'll think more positively about yourself.
With high confidence, you can also build healthier relationships with others. With high confidence, you are willing to try out new things and overcome any fears!
Now since we've talked about all of the great things associated with having high confidence, let's get into simple things you can do to build your self-confidence.
When you think pessimistically about yourself, it will lower your confidence. Stop belittling yourself because of your mistakes. Stop putting yourself down when you are feeling petrified to do things. The more you feed your mind negative thoughts, the more poorly you'll feel about yourself. You can end this by thinking positively.
Remove negative thoughts from your mind and replace them with loving and kind words. Treat yourself with kindness, even when you've made mistakes or experienced failures. In life, we all have mishaps but don't belittle yourself over them. Your mistakes, failures, and setbacks shouldn't be a life sentence. Therefore, you should always think positively about yourself, no matter what the circumstances are.
For example, instead of tormenting yourself because you received an F on your maths exam, think positively about it (don't worry, I hate math too). Tell yourself you will try your hardest and do better next time. Another example, instead of being cruel to yourself because you showed up late to work (it happens!), think optimistically about the situation. Tell yourself it's going to be okay. Although next time you will prepare yourself for work earlier, so you can show up on time.
Do you see how easy thinking positively can be? The more positively you think about yourself, the more confident you'll be when tackling tough situations.
Are you surrounded by people that are constantly putting you down? If so, it's time to find a new social circle. To boost your self-confidence, surround yourself with kind and loving people. Besides, who would want to be around negative people that are constantly bringing others down? Just like thinking positively about yourself, you should group yourself with other positive people.
Furthermore, the people you hang around with can have an influence on your thoughts and behaviors (you also have the power to control your thoughts). So, if you surround yourself with loving and optimistic people, you are likely to think positively about yourself too. Be around people that will encourage you to pursue your dreams. Positive people will accept you for who you are. Be around people that will congratulate you on your achievements.
Nonetheless, if you hang around people that put you down, you will think negatively about yourself. You'll start to experience doubts about your abilities. You'll feel a lot more insecure about yourself. To stop negative thoughts from circling, surround yourself with loving and caring people. Cut off those that are pessimistic and uncaring.
Are you afraid to try out new things because of judgment? Or are you ashamed because of how it'll make you look? Get rid of those negative thoughts and feelings. You shouldn't allow the opinions of others to get to you. Therefore, if you try out new things, it can help boost your self-confidence.
To add on, trying out many things can help you learn more skills. According to HuffPost, trying out many things can also help you overcome any fears you might have. You can try a sport you've never played before or take on a new hobby. Or do whatever you dreamed of doing; who knows, you might end up enjoying it!
As women, many of us compare ourselves to other women (I'm guilty of doing this too). Whether we idolize another woman's physical appearance, talents, personality, or whatever the case may be, we are constantly comparing ourselves. If you want to boost your self-confidence, you need to stop comparing yourself to others. You need to embrace what you already have and be happy about it. Moreover, our differences and imperfections are what make us special.
People that compare themselves to others are likely to be insecure individuals. You don't want to have a reputation of being insecure and bitter, right? So, stop comparing yourself and appreciate what you have. Your abilities, lifestyle, differences, personality, and style make you who you are. You shouldn't want want to be anyone else in the world but yourself!
Don't be envious of someone else's life. This will make you look jealous and bitter. So, it's good to keep in mind your successes and your downfalls. By doing this, you can create room for improvement and personal growth.
Remember, don't ever compare yourself to others. You will always be you, no matter what. Accept who you are and enjoy your life. We all have our strengths and weaknesses, which makes us all unique in our own way.
People-pleasing will lower your confidence. If you are always concerned about pleasing others, you are lowering your standards. You are throwing away your happiness and freedom to please others. Once people notice you are a people-pleaser, the wrong crowd can take advantage of you.
Put an end to people-pleasing. If people don't appreciate you for who you are, leave them alone. You are wasting your time and making yourself look like a fool (sorry, that was too harsh). I've also been guilty of people-pleasing; hence, it destroyed my self-esteem. Stop destroying yourself by pleasing others!
Remember, you can't always be at their beck and call. You have to think about yourself and your needs.
When people are confident, they admit to their wrongdoings and failures. However, when someone is insecure, they take the easy way out by either playing the blame game or playing the victim (many of us have done this).
So, if you want to build your confidence, start taking accountability for your actions. I know it sucks to know we've done something wrong, but we have to admit to it. Besides, people will respect you more when you take accountability, instead of lying or playing the blame game.
It's time to stop making excuses and start taking accountability. Take accountability for your actions, thoughts, feelings, and the consequences of your behaviors.
Confident women are nice and respectful to others. They don't shame people for who they are, or constantly put others down. If you know someone that is constantly gossiping or belittling others, that is an insecure person. You don't want to build a reputation for being a nasty and mean person. Instead, be nice to others and treat them with respect.
There's a saying that people treat others the way they feel about themselves. So, instead of being mean and hostile towards others, be nice. Show compassion and empathy. Take the time to help others. Being kind and loving are signs of a confident person.
Besides, no one wants to be around someone that's pessimistic and a bully.
Caring for your appearance is important to boost self-confidence. You can take care of your appearance by wearing clean clothes, practicing great hygiene, and treating yourself with kindness. Be confident in your clothing style, the way you style your hair, the accessories you choose to wear, wearing the shoes you love, or anything you enjoy doing to take good care of yourself.
You can also take great care of yourself by getting enough sleep, eating healthy foods, drinking plenty of water, and exercising to keep your energy flowing.
Keep in mind, building self-confidence takes time. It's not something you can achieve overnight. However, you shouldn't let this stop you from trying. Use these helpful tips to become confident, and within time, you'll be feeling great about yourself.
Remember, you are not in this alone. It's possible to transition from being an insecure woman to a healthy and confident one. Good luck!

Who wouldn't want to be a nice and caring person? Nice and caring people feel great about themselves. They share their kindness with the world because they have good hearts. People with high self-esteem and confidence treat others in a generous and caring way. On the other hand, some people think being nice is a sign of weakness. Others see nice people as vulnerable individuals and push-overs. Some people believe nice people are people pleasers and are playing nice to get what they want. Although this may feel true, there are many reasons why someone would want to become a nicer person. Nice people help others when they are in need. They are always there for you when you need them. When you are a nice person, people respect and appreciate you. Besides, people hang around those that are nice and caring instead of those that are bitter and mean.

Selfless and selfish fall on two different ends of the spectrum. Balance between the two is important and this guide will help you prioritize your own needs first.

How often do you catch yourself saying something negative about how you look, something you’ve done, or something you’ve said? Chances are it’s pretty frequent. Self-criticism is the umbrella over all the mean, harsh things you say to yourself about who and what you are. To be self-critical means that you talk to yourself in a way that is negative and cruel, and while your intention may be good, the outcome rarely ever is. This talk track manifests toxicity and is a breeding ground for self-hatred. We are often critical of ourselves in order to force growth and development. We aren’t content with how we are, and we take charge of the discontent by mercilessly criticizing ourselves and our actions, attempting to create the change we desire.
Think of that person you know, the one we all know. He or she exudes an air of certainty, carries themselves with determination, and lives in a way that portrays spirit and tenacity. We all know someone like this, and we aspire to be like them. These are family members, friends, coworkers, neighbors, bosses. Whether it’s you or someone you know, we can all zero in on that someone we’ve come across in our lives who is the epitome of self-confidence. Believing in your abilities, trusting in yourself and your potential, and having faith in your performance and skillset are all characteristics of self-confidence.
Throughout the monotony of everyday life, the difficulties and challenges we regularly face, and the mounting stress that is often a byproduct of being an adult, we tend to push self-care aside and opt for instant gratification and immediate relief. We don’t take proper care of ourselves anymore in this obstreperous world, and we instead allow the busyness and unpredictability of life to expropriate the care and nurturance we are entitled to provide ourselves with. Taking care of yourself means that you are providing for your needs in ways that are conducive to enhancing your physical and mental wellbeing. In order to live a fulfilling life, we must satisfy our earthly needs as well as our inherent ones.
Life advice is something we all desperately need, especially in a time where relationships and life has been changed by a pandemic.
This article is about positivity and how it can always affect our lives for the better.
Self-worth is a concept that’s gained traction and notoriety over the years, increasingly so with the wave of self-care that’s impressed itself upon society by the Millennial and Gen Z generations. We see ads and commercials imploring us regularly to practice appropriate self-care in order to fuel and nurture our self-worth, but before buying into the message, we first need to examine what it means to have self-worth. Before we can dive into the reasons why someone’s concept of self-worth may be lacking, we must first explore and define the term itself. Self-worth is the way you view yourself; it is how you see your value and worth in the world.
If you're struggling to find the beauty within yourself, this is a Beginner's Guide to the Journey of Self-Love
Breaking down the things I wish I knew about adulthood when I was a teenager
Social media is constantly throwing the term “self-worth” at us from every direction on a daily basis. We see it in our Instagram newsfeed, we see it trending on Twitter, and we see it highlighted through shared links and content on Facebook. When we think about self-worth, self-care typically comes to mind. Our minds drift to bubble baths with fizzy bath bombs, face masks that penetrate our pores, pampering manicures and pedicures, and indulgent massages that leave us feeling whole and rested. While these acts are only a single facet of self-care, they don’t necessarily fall under the category of self-worth. These two words may belong to the same family, but they are not interchangeable.
This article is about having faith in our dreams and the future we picture for ourselves. It is important not to be discouraged no matter how harsh the world around us might be.

The best way to get our life back on track is mindfulness. Mindfulness comes in different shapes and forms.
As children, we are each taught stories that are unique to us; we are told who we are, what we are, where we’re going, what we’re going to measure up to, who we will be. As children, we are young, malleable, thirsty sponges that soak up the things we’re told. Many of the details that make up these stories are determined by our parents, guardians, culture, demographic, or life circumstances. Our environments and the people in our environments impress their beliefs of who and what we are upon us. Everyone begins life as an infant with an infant brain that develops with time and experience. We start with absolutely zero knowledge of ourselves and the world around us; we absorb the information fed to us and we trust that those older and wiser truly are wiser.
We’re here to talk about all things self-worth, from what it means and how to define it, to how it presents itself, why self-worth looks different for different people, and we’ll explore the reasons behind why we believe the things we believe about ourselves and how those beliefs got there. If you have access to social media and use platforms like Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, etc.; if you watch network TV programs or stream popular shows on Netflix and Hulu; if you flip through lifestyle magazines while waiting at the doctor’s office, chances are you’ve at the very least seen or heard the term “self-worth.”
Self care needs to be prioritized immediately. The benefits and what it can do to change your life in a positive direction are too immense to ignore.
Having a positive mindset is more than simply being happy. It is a way to think and reframe negative thoughts.
